Its been a while...

So its been a while since we have had an update, so this will be a little long.
We had a Level II on the CPC's on little ones brain. The results looked GREAT! It looks like they are all gone! We could not be happier about this. He is growing so big so fast. We had the ultrasound at 29 weeks, he was measuring 2 LBS 11 OZ.

Today I am 31 weeks 5 days. Almost 8 months already! I am so excited to get things moving along when it comes to buy him things, and getting the nursery completed. Speaking of Nursery, this week we have finished the painting of his room. Here are a few pictures of the way it has turned out. In this picture i have just the lights in the Crown Molding we installed. I LOVE THIS! its so perfect to give off just enough light without being blinded by having to turn on lights. I cant wait to come in and check on him while he is sleeping, or just sit there and watch him sleep while these lights are on. i know i will not wake him up, or kill my self trying to get in to the room in the dark! HAHH
We hand painted EVERYTHING so it took us a while to get it all done. The diamonds came out great. These are what had taken forever. But so worth it!
Here are a few more pictures to give you the idea of what the room looks like.

As you can see we also did the ceiling! I love how this came out to! it was hard because The type of pain had to be put on in sections and with a brush, then i painted the clouds! LOVE IT!

We just got our crib, and dresser last night, so tonight we are putting everything together! cant wait to see how it all looks in the room!

Lets see, whats next.....
CHRISTMAS TIME! I am so excited its that time of year, although with all the baby stuff i have not had time to do anything related to Christmas just yet. We have our tree, i just have to get things going and decorate it! HAHAH ill get that done this week to!

Now for the update on week status.
I am 31 weeks and 5 days today. I feel like i have finally had that POP everyone talks about!
My belly has doubled in the last two week. Kinda scary! Here is an updated picture...

We also did the 3D/4D ultrasound. I found it to be a bit creepy.... he happened to sleep the whole time which was a bummer. But we did move around a little bit. here are a few pictures from that.... He looks like he is going to be long and have big hands! just like ryan!

I think I actually look pregnant, 7 months later! haha
Its been a big growth week. I can tell he is getting bigger by the day. His kicks have gotten much stronger, and daddy gets to feel them more often. I have officially had the rib kicks for the first time and it really is interesting. They don't hurt (yet) but sometimes they are uncomfortable.

I had gotten my N1H1 shot and flu shot at my last doctors appointment. They are the first flu shots I have ever had, but i hear its worth it for me and the baby, so be it.

Other than that, I feel pretty good. sorry this update it pretty boring!

26 weeks

Today we are 26 weeks! I cant believe how fast it's going... I know I say that all the time! But really, only 98 days to go...

I can tell that I am getting bigger, I have a hard time rolling out of bed! hahaha! This is funny stuff, really. I have noticed a big difference in the last week.

As far as what we have done for the nursery. We bought the paint and we are getting started on that this week! we are super excited to get the room going. I very ready to nest!

We have picked out the crib we are getting! I am so super excited.
we are going with my parents this weekend to order it, It's going to take about 8 weeks for us to get it, but it is so worth the wait. I here is a picture of what it looks like!

We bought sage green and brown sheets, Sage green bumper, and dust ruffle. I can not wait to see what it all looks like together. The paint matches the bedding. :) Things are starting to come together. And we have a Shower date! January 9th, 2010!! So we are sending out save the dates because its going to be crazy for people around the holidays! On the holiday note, I CANT WAIT FOR CHRISTMAS! I love the season! for some reason I am way more excited this year then ever! maybe im just in a great mood!! Not to sure! On another note! the baby is moving around alot. I can tell that he is getting so much bigger because I can feel him all over my belly, not just in one spot! The other night I was on the couch watching TV, Ryan came and put his head on my belly looking up at me. All of a sudden, a BIG wham! He was punched in the face! Ryan's eyes got big, and asked me if i did that! HAHAH, I cant make him do it!! Since then ryan has really been warming up to the belly touching and he actually talked to the baby for the first time, on his own! It was really cute! He makes my heart melt!

  • How far along? 26 weeks
  • Total weight gain/loss: +6 or 8 as of last appointment. We will see on friday.
  • Body Changes? Belly getting much bigger, hips sore.
  • Sleep: Can't get enough of it. When i am asleep is great. hard to find a position that's comfortable, and getting up still 5 times a night to pee really sucks!!

  • Gender: BOY
  • Food Cravings: Chips and salsa!!
  • What I miss: My clothes
  • Symptoms: really sore hips, sometimes I cant even stand upright.
  • What I am looking forward to: Cold weather!
  • Milestones: Daddy got to feel him! actually He was kicked in the face!! GREAT!
A little about the baby at 26 weeks! By this week, your baby's crown-to-rump length is approximately 9.2 inches. Remember, that is only from the top of his head to his bottom and does not include his leg measurements! Your baby weighs almost 2 pounds and is beginning to put on weight. Your uterus is about 2.5 inches above your bellybutton and you will continue to grow approximately 1 cm each week. If you have been eating a well-balanced diet, you probably have gained about 16-22 pounds so far. Because your baby has moved further up, you may get occasional pain underneath your ribs. After a month of having his eyelids sealed shut, your baby begins to open his eyes again this week. Your baby's eyes are almost completely developed. Your baby's eyes are blue in the womb and may change colors later in life. This is true for all races because the pupils do not have their final color until a few months after birth. However, some babies are born with darker or lighter shades of blue. Your growing baby will continue to put on layers of fat until he is born. He is still lean at this point of the pregnancy though. By the time your baby is born, he will assume the typical newborn's plumpness. Your baby's skin will still be wrinkled and red, but the fat continues to fill the skin out. Finger and toe nails continue to grow. Blood vessels start to develop in the lungs to prepare the baby for life outside the uterus. Your baby's blood circulation is completely functional. The umbilical cord system continues to grow and thicken as blood travels with considerable force through the body to nurture the baby. The placenta is now almost equal in size to the baby. Even though it is still way too soon for your baby to be born yet, the chance of survival without severe abnormalities is now 70% provided it is born in a hospital.

Im getting better on the updates!! =)

And sorry for the flash on the mirror, and how dirty it is!! hahha! oops!

Well I am 22 weeks! YIPPY!
As far as this week there are a few things to update on.
We had a doctors appointment with a new doctor and I REALLY like her!! This is a huge relief!

What she had to say about the Chlorid Plexus Cysts....... She has made us all feel so much better about these cysts. The main outcomes looks rather good. She said most of these DO go away on their own and we should know more when we get our next ultrasound. This will be in another month or so.

If they are still there or bigger, then we will see Genetics and a specialist. So for now, we are still waiting!

The baby.....
I can feel him just about every day now! This is so exciting. Last week I was laying down and I felt a few GOOD Bangs.... and looked down and say the movement for the first time! i must say, its really kinda strange! I Called ryan over and he saw it to! He has yet to feel him kick yet, but we both saw him!!

As far as weight, I have done pretty good. Im up 6 or 8 LBS im nost sure what one, so lets just go with 6!!
In the last 6 weeks I have not gained 1 pound!! im pretty pround of my self, if only I could up my activity! I rode my bike this morning for 30 min and im going to try to stick with that for a while!!

As far a the 22 week picture, sorry again for it being crappy. By the time I have Ryan to take a picture, I feel like crap, so Id rather do it in the morning, and im all alone then, but ya take what ya can get!

Our little man is going to be growing alot from here on out!

Here is some info on the baby for this week......

"Your baby's crown-to-rump length is approximately 7.6 inches and your growing baby weighs about 12.25 ounces now! Your uterus is about 2 cm above your bellybutton and you probably feel comfortably pregnant. Your growing tummy is not yet large enough to get in the way and you should still be able to bend over and sit without much trouble. You might be enjoying your pregnancy more than ever at this point if morning sickness was an issue in the early weeks.

Your baby's body continues to grow and develop every day. The organ systems in your baby's body are becoming specialized for their particular functions. The fetal liver produces different enzymes than it will produce after delivery. The liver is responsible for breaking down billirubin, which is produced by the breaking down of blood cells. Because the life span of a fetal red blood cell is shorter than that of an adult, a fetus produces more billirubin than adults do. Billirubin passes from fetal blood to the placenta and then into your blood. Your liver helps get rid of fetal billirubin. A newborn baby that has high levels of billirubin may show signs of jaundice. Jaundiced babies have a yellowish tint to their eyes and skin and are often treated with phototherapy.

Your baby's senses are developing daily. The fetus now has a full complement of neurons in the brain and is learning about her body and surroundings through touch. Touch is one of the first senses to mature and your baby may stroke its face or feel her arms and legs.

Your blood volume has increased more to meet the demands of your pregnancy. Most of the increase is in the form of plasma, the liquid part of your blood. This has the ability to dilute your blood and give you physiological anemia, which occurs during pregnancy. The measure of blood dilution is called Hematocrit and the levels reach their lowest points this week. You should check with your doctor to make sure you are not developing more serious forms of anemia.

Your baby now shows an extremely rapid brain growth (which lasts until five years after birth).

The ovaries of female fetuses contain primitive egg cells, all of the eggs a woman will have for her entire life. The uterus of female fetuses is also fully formed."

21 Weeks 4 days...

I am 21 weeks and 4 days as of right now!
I'm thought since I'm pretty bad at this blog thing that i would do an update. So far, we are having an appointment with a new doctor on Friday! I'm excited to get to talk to someone i might like. I was not a fan at all of the doctor i saw the first go around, and my awesome mother said this doctor was good. So i will give her a shot.

We are hoping to get some good news from her, as far as our little one goes. We are hoping she may be able to give us some more info on the Chlorid Plexus Cysts our Little Man has on his brain. I'm not sure when we will be having another Ultrasound to see if they have gone away one their own or if they are still there. I hope we can get some good info to put my minds at ease.

I have been feeling pretty good, other than I feel HUGE. I'm not sure how much I have gained but I have been really good when it comes to eating healthy, so I hope its working. I started back on my swimming last week, and i hope i am able to keep it up.
My in laws have a pool, and since i work at the house next to theirs i figured i might as well go swim some laps. I have skipped out on the pool at the gym because its out right dirty.

I have been feeling our little one more and more each day which has made me feel a lot better knowing he must still be growing!! I'm so ready for Ryan to be able to feel him. I have had a few kicks that I'm sure could have been felt from outside, but when Ryan has his hands on the belly, he says he cant feel them. So i hope its soon.
Here are a few updated pictures, they are not the best, but its something!!
This one where I'm in the brown was taken right at 20 weeks... the one in the pink was taken at 21 weeks

* How far along?: 21 weeks 4 days
* How big is baby?: Between 12-15 ounces and 10.5 inches. He is as long as a banana!
* Maternity clothes?: Yup, pants no shirts
* Stretch marks?: Same...
* Sleep?: Sucks, I cant get comfortable and when I do I have to Pee!
* Best moment this week?: Looking at Bedding!
* Movement?: Everyday. Some days it's more than others.
* Food cravings?: Mexican food, my chicken and rice and veggies is starting to get no fun!
* Labor signs?: None.
* Belly button in or out?: Still in.

UPDATE, last 2 weeks

Well its been 2 weeks I think since I have posted anything. So I'm just going to give one BIG run down.

Today I am 19 weeks 5 days, almost half way done with the pregnancy! can you believe it.... I cant!

Week 18 was pretty uneventful. My hips are not hurting as much if at all, so that's AWESOME!

Weeks 19 has been a HUGE emotional roller coaster. On 9/11/09 we had our BIG ULTRASOUND. We were so excited to find out that ITS A BOY!!!!!

So we found that out on Friday afternoon and then we went to dinner. On Sunday we had the whole family going to the LA County Fair to watch the Horse Races so we decided that this would be the place to tell everyone!

I went and got supplies to make something so everyone could open a gift that would tell them the good news.

So this is what we came up with....
Its nothing too crazy but they were fun to make. I made 5 that were similar to this one. I was going to get a picture of them all but i ran out of time before we had to leave...... Each on was a little different. Ryan also made hats for the Grandpas! They were super cute. My dad was a good participant and wore his most of the day! It was a fun trip and every one was super excited to hear about the little man.

There is so much we have to do now! We had not looked at anything till this weekend! we were waiting till we knew what we were having.
So let the shopping begin!!

SO AS FAR AS EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER.........

Here is the scary news.......
On Monday 9-14-09, I got a call from the genetics department at the hospital. She started to give me this speech...... she went over all the good things they were able to see in/on him and that there were somethings that did not look so good.

Well i knew by just getting a phone call that something was not good. After the Ultrasound they said, NO news was Good news.

So i just braced myself for what ever it may be.

She said they found several "Markers" on the babies brain that bring up concerns. She said there were "Choroid Plexus cysts". She said it could be one of two things. One, that it could be nothing. All the Cysts they saw could go away on their own. (The lady said this part really fast)
but spent a bunch of time going over the not so good part. She said 2. These Markers are signs of Trisomy 18. This is not a good thing at all.

She said the blood work I had done came back with good results 1 in 100,000,000 chance of having T18 and Downs. Well she said with the ultrasound findings, that our odds go to 1 in 1,500.

Wow. Let me take this all in......... She continued to tell me that there are cases that the babies don't make it full term and if they do, don't make it long after birth. SO SHE HAS ME FREAKING OUT!

She make it sound like babies with these markers almost always end up being T18 babies.

So I went home from work, had Ryan met me there and we spent the day together. Not doing anything at all, just being together in our home with our dogs was all we needed.
I mean, what else can you do. This is now just a waiting game.

Well after much research, our odds are looking good. In most cases the Cysts will just go away on their own, and the baby is fine, no abnormalities what so ever. SO OUR HOPES ARE HIGH.

I'm just staying away from all the info about T18 babies because that makes me so sad. But of course when that is one of your possible outcomes, no matter how big or small, its always in the back or your mind. So of course iv had my moments, but i pray we will be OK.

I have to wait till 10-2-09 to get my doctors Appointment to go over the results with someone face to face. That will make me feel better, I hope...... I will have another ultrasound between 23-32 weeks to check on our little man and see how he is doing. Our hopes are that most or all of the Cysts are gone!

BABY INFO

This is the baby Info for week 16 and 17, I think this is so cool!!
Everything that is going on with the baby is right here, and whats going on with the changes of ME!!!

WEEK 16

At this point of your pregnancy, your baby is approximately 4.3 to 4.6 inches long and weighs 2.8 ounces. Not only is your baby growing, your uterus and placenta continue to grow to accommodate the growing baby inside of you! Just six weeks ago, your uterus weighed about 5 ounces. This week it now weighs 8.75 ounces! The amniotic fluid that surrounds the baby is increasing and there is about 7.5 ounces of fluid. You will easily be able to feel your uterus approximately three inches below your navel.

This is an important week for testing and you will most likely have an AFP test done. This is a harmless blood test that is done to detect abnormalities such as Down's syndrome or spina bifida. This is a non-invasive test and it carries no risk to your developing baby. Most doctors will offer the test, but in most cases it is completely optional.

Your milk glands start production at this time and this causes some tenderness and swelling in early pregnancy. Your veins will become more visible because there is an increased amount of blood flowing to the breasts.

ive and a half inches tall and only six ounces in weight. The child can grasp with his hands, kick, or even somersault.

At this time, your baby is holding her head erect. Because her muscles are developing, she can make some faces now. Your baby is able to squint, frown and open its mouth. There is enough calcium in the bones that they will show up on an x-ray. Your baby's fingernails are well formed now and the legs are longer than the arms. Because your baby is moving well now, you may begin to feel his movements! Some women say that the early movements feel like gas bubbles or a slight flutter. If you have not yet felt the baby move, don't worry. Fetal movements are usually felt between the 16th and 20th week of pregnancy.

You may feel your heart beating 'louder'. This is because there is a lot more blood in your body than normal. (about 20-25% more)

WEEK 17

Your baby's weight has doubled in two weeks and now weighs about 3.5 ounces! The crown-to-rump length of your growing baby is 4.4 to 4.8 inches. If you spread your hand out opened wide, you can see about how big your baby is.

Your uterus is moving up and is now approximately 1.5 to 2 inches below your navel. You are showing more now and there is a noticeable swelling in your abdomen. At this point in your pregnancy, a 5 to 10 pound weight gain is normal. Other people can probably feel the difference in your lower abdomen if they were to rub your tummy. To be the most comfortable, you should be wearing maternity clothes or clothing that is too large for you. You may have felt your baby move already. However, you might not feel it move every day at this point. As your pregnancy progresses, movements become stronger and more frequent. Feeling your baby move can help reassure you that your baby is doing well. You might also notice that your gums or nose bleed occasionally. This is from the increased blood volume that puts pressure on small blood vessels and capillaries.

Huge changes continue to take place within your developing baby. This week fat begins to form and will continue to do so until he is born. Fat is important to the body's heat production and metabolism. Right now, at 17 weeks, water makes up about 3 ounces and fat 0.018 ounces of your baby's body. In a baby at term, fat makes up about 5.25 pounds of the total average weight of 7.7 pounds. The placenta is continuing to grow at an amazing rate. The placenta will continue to develop in tandem with the fetus and it will weigh more than a pound at birth! By this week, the placenta is large and well established with a network of blood vessels that exchange nutrients and waste.

The eyes are facing more forward. The ears are now close to their final position.

Your baby is more flexible with ability to move head, mouth, lips, arms, wrists, hands, legs, feet, and toes.

Fingerprints are forming now.

16 and 17 weeks!

WOW! I am two weeks behind! Lets see where do i start? We had another baby appt. We got to hear the heart beat for the first time, It was the best whoosh whoosh whoosh..... we have ever heard! Ryan eyes just lit up at the sound of our baby! In just another few weeks we should know what we are having! I cant wait, then we can start to shop for cute baby things!! YEAH!! We have not yet looked at or bought anything for the baby yet, we are waiting to see what are will be buying for!

As for how i have been feeling, I have been more sick than ever! what is the deal with that??? I feel fine during the day, then at night i can't keep anything down! I guess our baby is making up for lost sick time in first trimester!

As it goes for my body, My hips are KILLING ME!! What is going on here!! last night i had to have Ryan help me to bed. After a few minutes of trying to get off the couch by myself and not being able to stand up straight, I called for Ryan. He could tell i was in some serious pain. I am really good when it comes to pain, I have a HUGE pain tolerance, and for my eyes to be filled with tears he knew something was wrong. It feels like my hips are being ripped apart!

So today i got a better chair from the other office (my father in-laws chair) and Im loving it, but my hips are still way sore!
Enough of my bitching!
Here is a picture from 16 weeks, I'm 17 weeks today, so i will post that new picture when i take it!
Here is a picture from 16 weeks as you can see, I'm carrying high, I think....... It looks like it to me! So im still feeling its a girl, but we will know in a few weeks if im right or wrong, as long as its healthy we will be ecstatic! Really bad self picture, bad angle!! hahah!
WOW I FEEL HUGE!!! This baby does not have that much space because I'm so darn short and have no stomach....... Not good for the weight gain or the space for the baby!!

How far along? 17 weeks
Maternity clothes? Just pants still and a few tighter shirts.
Stretch marks? Same
Sleep: I can't seem to sleep on my side like I'm supposed to, but really trying with the hip pain
Best moment this week: Hearing the heart beat of our little one
Movement: NONE YET! :(
Food cravings: None really.
Gender: I'm thinking a girl!.
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? In
What I miss: Nothing
What I am looking forward to: Finding out what we are having.

15 Weeks

We are now at 15 Weeks!! YIPPY!!!
Nothing too much to report on. We just got back from a vacation to Yosemite We left on Weds and came home on Sunday. The drive was 9 hours there and 10 hours back due to a blow out on our trailer tire!! Fun!
It was great to get away from real life for a while, we had no cell phone service so for once we did not have to answer a phone!
I felt pretty good on the trip, We did not get to rest too much, but i did work my ass off while there. We did a bunch of hiking, and bike riding, and i was really impressed with how well i did. My energy was high!! By day 3 my legs were killing me and my body did have a few strange aches, but with a nice bath, my body felt better.

Our next appt is on Aug 24th, we are hoping we may find out the gender! So we will be super excited. Like i always say, Im gonna have a picture soon! Promise!!
Our little on is now the size of an Orange!! cute! Continuing the march towards normal proportions, baby's legs now outmeasure the arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably still can't feel the movements.

Acording to the Chinesee Genger chart we are having a girl! I will be intrested in seeing if this is right!!

Our baby is the size of a Lemon! YEAH! Its getting so big!!
Your adorable little fetus

NT scan at 12 weeks

So we had our NT scan last Friday, 7/24/09. As far as i know things are going well with the baby! yeah!
I still have to post my 10 week belly bloat and still have to take the 12 week picture... Yeah i know, i really do suck at this!! Ill do my best to get better!

I have been feeling pretty good, I'm getting my energy back and i have been really lucky when it comes to morning sickness. Right now its more like late afternoon sickness. It never fails the night time is by far the worst i have felt.

I am so excited to say that i am entering the second trimester!! YIPPYY!! With this of course come maternity clothes! Oh yeah. With no morning sickness there has been no loss of weight, so needless to say, Nothing fits me anymore. I have been doing my best to keep working out and i have been eating really well, although some people are more lucky than others!

I will be shopping for new clothes ASAP. Im thinking of lots of cute summer dresses!!
I have been sleeping good with a body pillow. My Sciatic nerve has been bothering me the last few weeks. This was a problem before becoming pregnant, so its not getting better! duh! hahahah

Our baby is the size of a plum!! Cute!!

Baby's now the size of a plum!
"As you move into the second trimester, baby shifts into the growth and maturation stage. After weeks in the critical development stage, almost all of her systems are fully formed."

I will post the belly pic as soon as i take it!!
Here are the NT scan pictures!!

In this one you can see the feet in the air and the whole body!! cute!
In this one, It is a close up! You can see the babies hands, head, side of face, neck and back.
Side profile!
If you look close you can see the two dots measuring the fluid in the neck. We did not get the results back yet, the doctor said no news is good news!

10 Weeks!

Ok, So iv been really bad about sitting down and updating, so i have 3 weeks to update on.
Lets start with week 10!

10 Weeks 5 Days We had another Ultrasound. Everything looked good. So far i have been feeling pretty good. My emotions have been under control! This is great, Im usually an emotional person, but really i have done a good job keeping things calm.

We started taking pictures this week of the belly, Well not yet a belly, more like a bloat. My clothes are a little tight, some days are better than others!

Our next appointment is for the NT scan, this will be at 12 weeks.
Here is what the NT scan is if you are not sure. It is an optional testing.

"This is a collection of fluid under the skin at the back of a baby's neck at 10-14 weeks that can be measured using ultrasound. All babies have some fluid, but in many babies with Down's syndrome, the nuchal translucency (NT) is increased.

An NT ultrasound is a method of assessing whether your baby is likely to have Down's syndrome. It's a screening test. A screening test can only estimate the risk of your baby having Down's, as opposed to a diagnostic test, such as CVS or amniocentesis, which will give you a definite diagnosis (but also carries a small risk of miscarriage).

The NT ultrasound can't tell for certain whether your baby is affected. However, it can help you decide whether or not to have a diagnostic test. In many cases, it is offered along with blood tests to determine fetal risk for certain abnormalities."

So this is going to be done at the next(which is today)and because we are young and have no family history Im sure we will be ok. If something comes back abnormal, we will love this baby no matter what.

Here is our baby and a belly picture to start with.

According to Thebump.com
Our baby is a PRUNE!
Baby's now the size of a prune!
With bones and cartilage starting to form and vital organs beginning to function, baby is making major progress. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks, and arm joints are now working. (Soon, legs will start working too.)

SO I lied! The belly pic will be posted later today, when i update you on the NT scan. I will have the 10 week and 12 week pictures, we missed the 11 week belly pic! Sorry!
